Brighton band TRAAMS prep for first album in seven years with new single ,'The Light At Night', which features Protomartyr's Joe Casey's vocals. The track begins with minimal synths and strings before building into one of TRAAM's signature repeating grooves overlaid with feedbacking guitars. The rhythmic element of the band is really brought to life by the Charlotte Gosch & Lee Kiernan-directed video which features a church preacher who flits between emphatic gesticulating and impressive voguing. The preacher visuals tie in well with Casey's charismatic ranting vocal delivery, of which guitarist and singer Stuart Hopkins states, "After trying and failing to lay down a verse I was happy with I tried my luck and messaged Joe. Like a true pro he had the takes recorded and back to us in a flash, he loves a deadline apparently.” The new album Personal Best is due out on FatCat Records on July 22nd. - Toby Evans-Jesra
